A WebP to JPG converter decodes the WebP and encodes it again as JPEG. JPEG compresses less efficiently than WebP, so the same picture needs more bytes: in our sample the JPG files were 33% to 119% larger at quality 80. You gain compatibility with every editor, email client, print service and upload form that still rejects WebP.
Two things to plan for. JPG has no transparency, so transparent areas are filled with white. And each lossy save loses a little detail, so convert from the original WebP once instead of converting a converted file again.
